This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Smart City Development, exploring how cities can become smarter, more sustainable, and more resilient through the integration of digital technologies, governance, people, processes, and infrastructure.
Participants will examine the concept of the city as a complex system of systems and explore the key dimensions of smart city development, including digital transformation, sustainability, governance, citizen engagement, urban innovation, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Twins, and Smart Infrastructure.
The advanced (three-day course): covers basic topics + SCD fundamentals, city as a system of systems, SCD challenges, city process change, city as an enterprise, SCD readiness assessment, SCD roadmap development.
